Joe, I tried calling you. I tried meeting with you. I tried emails with you. I tried an Attorney with you. You ignored everything — so now I am calling you out publicly.

Paid in full. Problems remained.

What Happened

I have a 1996 Jeep Cheeroke and I wanted to do some suspension work on it. I was talking to a friend about it and he suggested I take it to Alliance Auto Care. I went over and met with Conner, he seemed very eager, and helpful. We talked about everything that they would do Fox shocks, new rubber, ball joints, springs, leaf springs, entire suspension would be new. They gave me a $8,500 quote and I gasped at the price, but then I thought that I was getting a brand new under carriage essentially, everything would be done to perfection is that I was told. I left and went home to think about it, I dropped off the deposit and made plans to leave the jeep. Dropped off the jeep, It was there two weeks or so and I heard from them once. I went to pick the jeep up, when I arrived he handed me an additional charge of $1,100 and what I asked him what it was for, he said looking at me right in the face "It was for the rusty bolts" "I am really not sure, I am new here." When I was dropping it off he asked me for a mileage so I went out to get it and I When I came back in I explained to him I didn't want to change the stance of my jeep. I didn't want it any higher or lower. His quick response was ("We can Lower it") and my quick response was "No, no, no I don't want it lowered I didn't want the stance changed". I liked the stance of my jeep.  When I went back to get it, I was in a hurry, I was going camping the next day and planning on taking the jeep with us. As I ran out I got in the jeep and it seemed like the front of the jeep was lower than before but it was sitting on a little bit of hill in the driveway. As I drove down the road that feeling didn't go away, it drove differently and rode differently. When I got home, I pulled on to the lawn to look under the car when I got out to look at it, I realized that the front WAS LOWERED and the front tires were both so close to the fender well that when you hit a bump or turned the tire would scrape the fender well. It had Fox shocks on it even after I told Conner NOT to put fox shocks on it. (When conner called me to tell me it was ready he was bragging it up and made the comment that they drove it over the railroad tracks and it was "awesome"). But when I drove it over the railroad tracks, both front tires rubbed the fender well.  Keep in mind I was getting ready for a camping trip, as mad as I was I didn't have time for this shit. I had an entire family that depended on me, and I had to tell them that the jeep could not go. That morning I got up and sent conner an email on their website which has been deleted, expressing my disappointment as polite as I could, I even called and told him I was pissed and he said they would deal with it when I got back from the camping trip. After the camping trip, I contacted them, and when I pulled onto the parking lot Conner came out of the building to meet me. We started talking, he was not the guy I met who I made the deal with, he was very defensive and on guard. As I listed my complaints, we came to the shocks we had agreed not to put fox shocks on it. That little prick looked at me and said ("You paid for them they are yours") I was dumbfounded. Right about then, Joe comes out the door. I looked at the both and asked them "what was the ride height when you started?". They looked at each other like deer in headlights and said "we don't know we didn't take one". I told them "You lowered my jeep" Joe suggested that he would change the springs on the front. (I have that in writing, which you will later see in this website). What they did not talk about was their warranty, promises, quality, or qualifications from technicians or Joe himself. (Put out a dangerous vehicle on the road).  What happened; they took a 6 and half inch lift kit from the jeep and tossed it in the dumpster and placed a 3 and half inch fox lift that I told them I did not want on my jeep. Then they put new ball joints into parts that had 250k miles on them which did not fit, so they shoved them in there and sent the car out the door. We also talked about the springs, I wanted them painted red or new red springs installed but instead they installed them and then tried to paint them red, it is a freaking joke you can see the images on the site. It is no wonder Joe wanted the springs back, what an embarrassment. I had already been to two different 4x4 shops and was warned to not drive it is dangerous by both of them (I have this in writing as well you can see it on the site). Joe actually acknowledged that the lift, springs, and entire lift was wrong but took zero accountability. All he offered was the springs. I knew that meeting was over after joe expressed his opinion. So I left before it got heated. That was the last time I saw conner and Joe. Me and Joe exchanged a few emails (On the site). I knew this was going nowhere.  (Then I got sick, stage 5 kidney disease, 7 procedures and one major surgery. I was in bed for 6 months. When I started to feel better I tried to get back to life and found an attorney,  Attorney sent them a demand letter and they ignored it. I had to put a $3,500 retainer down just to get the attorney to do anything. After the letter was ignored and short talk to the attorney he explained that this could easily go over what they owed me, all they had to do was keep ignoring my demand letters. Even if you win small claims you may not get your money. The attorney suggested it is likely they know what they are doing. After listening to the attorney I went to look at the reviews and he was absolutely right. Same situation time after time. You can see the the attorneys demand letter on this site.

I paid for work that wasn't done right. I deserved answers. I got silence.

Key Events

Day 1

Vehicle Dropped Off

Brought the Jeep in for a specific repair. Was given an estimate and a timeline. Both would change.

First Red Flag

Called for an update, was told the work was nearly done. Checked back again, and still not complete.

No Resolution

My calls went unreturned. They wouldn't answer my emails. The job they did was completed using the wrong parts and they refused to make things right. The problem was never fully resolved.
